Die Stadtwerke Olching GmbH wurde 2009 unter dem Namen Energieversorgung Olching GmbH gegründet und erhielt im selben Jahr die Konzession zur Übernahme des Stromnetzes der damaligen Gemeinde Olching (seit 2011 Stadt Olching).
